LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS
TUESDAY, JUNE 12th! As we say
goodbye to the Class of 2012, here are a few items to keep in mind as you plan
for the 2012-2013 school year.
REGISTRATION/ENROLLMENT
INFORMATION FOR THE 2012/2013 SCHOOL YEAR: Notices regarding registration and enrollment for next year
will be mailed in early August and will also include dates for registration
packet pick-up and orientation dates.
It is important that we have your current information on file! If you have moved please bring a
current proof of residence (electric bill, cable bill or rental agreement) to
the main office so we can update your file. Thank you from the Main Office.
A MESSAGE FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE: If your student took prescription
medications at school, please pick them up from the Nurse’s Office and get the
necessary paperwork for next year.
Please remember that no medications can be given at school without physician’s
orders (this includes, Tylenol, Motrin, Epi-pens, and inhalers). Make sure you have the proper paperwork
on file. You can pick up forms from
the Nurse or download copies from Serra web site under the Health Office.
WORK PERMITS: If your teen is planning to get a summer job they are
required to have a work permit. They
will need to get their work permit signed at the Work Permit Office at the
Revere Center. The address is 6735 Gifford Way, Room 3, San Diego, CA
92111. Call (858) 627-7355 for more
information. Also: ALL work permits expire in early September.
If the student wishes to continue to work after the summer, they must apply for
a new work permit in the fall.
No PSAT
(Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) Next Year. Due to limited
resources, Serra will not be able to offer the PSAT next year. With the
deep budgets cuts we are faced with, the school simply cannot afford to provide
this service to the students. We do not know which, if any,
schools will be giving the test next year. If we learn of any testing, we
will publish the information in the Q-Connection next Fall. For
information about the PSAT, go to http://www.collegeboard.org/
Have a great summer and be sure to check the Serra Web Site
in late August for the latest news about our STAR scores! http://serra.sandi.net.

year-old teen driver and soon-to-be drivers and their parents.
The program will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., on Monday, June 11, at the Ballard Parent Center, 2375 Congress Street, San Diego, Calif., 92111. For more information contact Interim Chief Littlejohn at 619-725-7000 or rlittlejohn@sandi.net, or Gene Roberts at 619-890-7737 or grobertstex@cox.net.
