PowerSchool / Parent Portal
The PowerSchool equivalent to Parent Connect is call Parent Portal. The latest news from the district is that the portal will be open district wide in late October. However, Serra has been selected as a pilot school to test the portal's functionality. If things go according to plan, Serra families will not have to wait until late October to have access to student information. We will contact families with more information about how to access the portal as the information becomes available to us.
In the meantime, remember that we have Pink Progress Report Days every other week. http://serra.sandi.net/schedules/reportcardtimeline.html Parents can still use this "old school" way to track their student's progress.

We are very pleased to announce that Serra's Academic Performance Index has increased for the 4th straight year in a row. Last year's 9th and 11th graders showed impressive growth. For more information visit: http://serra.sandi.net/star/2013results/
PSAT
The Practice SAT will be given at Serra on October 16th
from 8:48- 11:48am. The College Board charges the school $14 for
each exam. The district and GEAR Up will
be paying for all 10th and 11th graders to take the
test. 9th graders are welcome
to take the PSAT but they must sign up in advance and pay the exam fee.
If a 9th grader wants to take the test they must come the
Finance Office and pay the $14 exam fee.
The deadline for signing up is Monday, September 23rd at
3:00pm.
